Koji graduated Meiji University in 1990. After his graduation, he joined the overseas sales department in the semiconductor division of a major Japanese precision equipment manufacturer. He was involved in the semiconductor exports and managing of the operation of foreign subsidiary. He wanted to support Japanese companies that were active at overseas while dealing business with companies around the world, and he wanted to acquire more specialized knowledge, so he came to the United States and decided to study accounting at the graduate school of Golden Gate University in San Francisco. While he was in school, he passed CPA exam and obtained a master’s degree in accounting. After graduation, he joined MOSS Adams LLP, Certified Public Accounting Firm in San Francisco. After a few years, he moved to a Japanese accounting office in Silicon Valley. With the desire to help Japanese companies expand overseas, he gained experience as a certified public accountant in the United States, and after his previous position as a partner at a Japanese accounting office in Silicon Valley, he established Ozawa and Associates in December 2019. Koji formed Ozawa, Kaneko and Associates LLP with Yayoi Kaneko in 2021.We will do our best every day to provide you with outstanding and flexible services.

Nearly 30 years in public accounting, first at Moss Adams LLP, then at a Japanese accounting office in Silicon Valley to focus on Japanese business; and became an audit partner and west coast director. I resigned from the Japanese accounting office in Silicon Valley in December 2018, and started Pro-Vider Consulting LLC (Silicon Valley, CA) and Pro-Vider Japan GK (Tokyo, Japan). https://pro-vider-pros.com/ I have now joined Ozawa & Associates to further provide more “full” and “flexible” accounting services to meet the needs of Japanese companies in Silicon Valley and beyond.

After graduating an university in Kyoto, Yushi learned accounting in a collage in New York. After graduating a college in New York in 2008, Yushi started working for a Japanese accounting firm located in New Jersey. Yushi worked for providing attestation, accounting, consulting services to large Japanese corporations’ U.S. subsidiaries and not-for-profit entities and obtained a CPA license in New York State. In 2017, Yushi moved to San Francisco Bay Area and kept providing the attestation, accounting, consulting, J-Sox preparation/implementation services to large Japanese corporations’ U.S. subsidiaries, startups, and venture capitals in San Mateo office of the same accounting firm. Also, as a member of Quality Control team, Yushi experienced providing firm-wide trainings and inter-firm consulting.  In July 2021, Yushi joined Ozawa, Kaneko and Associates. Yushi will keep providing high-quality flexible services to the clients based on the clients’ needs.

Tomoko graduated from the University of Hawaii in 2000 and obtained her CPA license while gaining accounting and tax experience in Silicon Valley
From 2006 to 2019, she was a member of Ernst & Young’s Corporate Tax Department for about 13 years, specializing in corporate tax accounting and auditing (tax effect accounting) and corporate tax compliance, and providing services tailored to the needs of a variety of clients, from start-ups to multinational companies, regardless of industry or sector genre. For 3 years from 2019, she was Director, Global Tax and Accounting at Rakuten Medical, Inc. where she supported company operations and management and experienced practical work that is difficult to see from a consultant’s perspective.
From May 2022, she is working as a Tax Partner at Ozawa Kaneko and Associates, providing corporate and individual tax return preparation services as well as tax consulting services.
Taking advantage of my experience as an accountant for about 20 years, I will thoughtfully and promptly provide the services that suit your needs. I would be grateful to assist you, who is a bridge between Japan and the United States, by supporting your daily operation and managing functions in your organization from an accounting and tax perspective.

After earning a master degree at Golden Gate University in San Francisco in 2001, Atsushi worked at a local accounting firm whose clients were not for profit and general business organizations. He joined a Japanese accounting office in Silicon Valley in 2005. Until the summer of 2020, He was involved in accounting audit services for Japanese companies as a senior manager in the Japanese accounting office in Silicon Valley. He plans to provide good services that can respond to the rapidly changing business environment.

Mihoko Sonoda

She came to the United States after graduating from a university in Japan. She passed the US Certified Public Accountant Examination in 2009 and joined a Japanese accounting office in Silicon Valley in 2010. As an audit manager in EOS until 2019, she was involved in providing accounting services for customers of many Japanese companies. Since 2020, She has been involved in similar accounting services as a member of Ozawa and Associates. She strives every day to provide excellent and timely services to her clients.
